Camping
Bailey's is a Gated, Quiet, Safe, 5500 foot high Mountain-Top Destination - 60 acres located in the big trees, high atop beautiful Palomar Mountain in Northern San Diego County. Clean air, pure spring water and dark nighttime skies have made Bailey's Campground a favorite family destination for generations.

We host small family groups and couples who want a "no stereos - no generators & no bozos" type of camping experience.  Most Bailey campers are repeat customers - many visiting for generations now - who enjoy our "no surprises- easy access" environment.

Bailey’s Camping club
Apply for membership in our new Bailey's Camping Club. For a $150* annual membership you camp any time for a full year. Make your reservations online with password access. We will take the annual fee on your Visa or MasterCard, and open an application for you then and there.  While you're here on your initial camping trip, you'll meet with us - we'll give you all the details and complete your application on the spot.

Camp Sites:  Both in the meadow and in the woods under our 100 foot forest canopy.

Water: Our campground has standpipes supplying the the finest spring water on the planet (no kidding).

Restroom Facilities: The campground proper has flush toilets and cold water showers.

Bailey's Pond & Fishing: Bailey's pond is stocked with breeding populations of Bass, Bluegill, Red-ear & Perch. Please observe catch-and-release protocols.  Due the to prolonged drought the pond may be at low levels in late summer and autumn. Kids will enjoy our "pond biology" as they watch fish cruise the water's edge among dragonflies, monster tadpoles and bull frogs.

For those of you after Trout and other game fish for the frying pan, try Doane's Pond in nearby Palomar State Park, just 5 minutes away.

Campfires: Campfires are permitted in the steel fire drums provided with screened covers. In high wind or extreme fire hazard conditions, an alternative is using Citronella candles placed on the metal fire drum.  This provides a safe alternative for evening ambiance.  Cooking on your propane stove is always permitted.

Tents, Trailers, Pickup Campers and RVs: Are all welcome.  Larger units require meadow-edge camp sites. Sorry, but we have no hookups, and generators are permitted only during certain daytime hours.
