Inspired Art & Photographs

Inspiration strikes!  An ancient fallen tree dripping with the patina of decay; a century old ranch artifact once worked by rugged hands, now abandoned to rusted oblivion;  an impassioned craftsman inspired to combine these element – the product a thing of timeless beauty – reflecting both the storied past and a brilliant presence. Thusly the works of fifth generation Palomar Mountain pioneer couple Matthew & Vandy Bailey come to life.

Bailey Design and Creation proudly offers artistically repurposed art from forest and field - a native wood butcher block, an avant-garde-rustic lamp, one of a kind tables, candle stands, cloak racks and much more.

The primary focus of this eclectic collection of reclaimed forest, ranch and farm implements are these one-off pieces – each with a bit of San Diego History within.

Everything they create is from renewable, sustainable materials and unique artifacts, keeping the environment in play at all times.  Their collection includes an elegantly simple line of custom jewelry as inspired by nature, incorporating  semi-precious stones and loads of charm(s).  Each a mix of various textures and colors; for example copper & antique silver; gold patina accenting a vintage look that is truly wondrous.

Another passion is handmade stationary – each literally an open canvas for secrets and dreams - journals, cards, tags and inspirational expression boards.  Materials range from fibermâché to repurposed artifacts, to infused natural pressed flowers.

Equally extraordinary in content - and world class in every respect - wildlife and the natural environment come to life through the studied lens of adventure photos by Matthew Bailey.
